Hello world!... If I recall correctly that's how a certain blogging platform opens a new users blog!
So this is my new corner of the internet. Over the last six months I've become active on Twitter again thanks to the awesome community that is #LTHEchat and for the last term I've been part of the organising team thanks to the encouragement of Sue Beckingham. Liaising with our guest hosts , creating blog posts and being a part of such rich discussions has made me decide it's time to start my own contribution to the online community of educators and share more of my thoughts than can be contained in 140 characters!
Another driver for this creation has been my current role and my new adventure back into being a student. I work as a Teacher Educator, teaching on the PGCE course at the University of Warwick and in August began the MSc Teacher Education course at the University of Oxford. The role of the Teacher Educator an interesting one - working on the intersect between school and university. It is my intention to use this space to share and reflect on my experiences, the ideas I explore through my studies, and the things I encounter through my work. I hope to create dialogue and discussion (so please comment here or contact me through Twitter), and to use this space to curate useful and interesting items for those involved in teacher education and wider learning and teaching.
Finally as a disclaimer - the thoughts and views I will be sharing are not those of my employer, or any other organisation I belong to. Nor do I claim to be an authority on anything and definitely not an expert (as we all know how they are regarded!). These are simply my musings as I explore learning, teaching, technology and the world of the Teacher Educator.
